Aanout is located in the Chouf District and belongs to the Mount Lebanon Governorate. The town rises between 650 and 850 meters above sea level. Anout is 45 km away from Beirut.

It is a town that includes in its embrace the largest and oldest oak and mallow trees. It is the town of religious shrines that remained the memory of the entry of Muslim rulers into Aanout 850 years ago. It is the town of the tourist caves that deserves to be explored and visited by all.
