Botmeh is located about 1200 m above sea level and 55 km from Beirut. It is famous for its old stone houses, its old church, and an old grape press. Botmeh is also well known because of an old oak tree “Oum Al-Charatit,” its pine woods, its geological caves, its animal and plant fossils, and its old springs.
