It is one of villages in Chouf district, it is bordered by the town of Anout to the east, to the west by the town of Gharifeh, to the north by the town of Za’arouriyah, to the south by the town of Darayya, and part of the town of Gharifeh, with a population of 2,700 people, an area of 3,700 hectares (37 km², 800 meters above sea level). It is 45 km away from Beirut, the capital.
