Mir Amin Palace is a must- visit spot whenever you are in Shouf! This palace was first built by youngest son of Emir Bashir, and was recently restored into a 5 stars hotel and a restaurant. You can visit this palace for lunch or dinner, or for some drinks right next to the pool.

Once the residence of the last Emirs of Lebanon in the 19th century, the Mir Amin Palace Hotel has been restored to its former glory and transformed into a luxurious five stars hotel.

Offering panoramic views of the Shouf Mountains, this restored 19th-century palace offers air-conditioned rooms with antique furniture. It has a spacious terrace and a restaurant overlooking Beiteddine Palace.

Mir Amin Palace’s spacious rooms and suites are decorated with antique beds and bright colors. Some include a seating area and views of the Shouf Mountains. All come with a satellite TV, and slippers and bathrobes are in the private bathroom.

In the summer, Italian-inspired cuisine is served at the restaurant, while traditional Lebanese dishes are available in the winter. Guests can enjoy live music and light snacks on the terrace or drinks from the Piano bar.

Once the residence of Lebanon’s aristocracy the Mir Amin Palace is one of Beiteddine’s historical landmarks and offers a perfect setting for guests looking for a sweeping mountain retreat. About 45 kilometers from Beirut, the five-star palace-turned hotel has 22 guest rooms that are each uniquely decorated with antique furniture and bright colors.

The courtyard is a meticulously designed verdant landscape overlooking the Chouf mountains. An idyllic romantic escape the palace often hosts weddings, business gatherings and banquet events. The hotel caters equally to patrons on holiday and corporate guests.

The palace is also a short drive away from the historic town of Deir al Qamar and the hugely popular Beiteddine Palace.

Mir Amin Palace has an outdoor swimming pool and a host of other amenities as well as four restaurants. As-Saray, serving Lebanese food in the summer and Italian during the winter, is renowned for its Sunday breakfast buffet, as well as grilled entries for lunch and dinner. La Terrace is perfect for cocktails and a light lunch, as well and dinner and drinks. Shisha is always on standby for those craving an authentic experience against a backdrop of entertainment. Garden El-Mir is an outdoor restaurant with a view of Beiteddine Palace. La Cave, on the other hand, is the perfect spot for drinks and live music.

Not just a haven for wealthy Beirutis looking for a weekend escape, the year-long calendar of events at the palace cater to music and art connoisseurs and contributes to Mir Amin Palace’s reputation as a mainstay of Lebanese culture.
