To spend two days away from the hustle and bustle of the city, to live the traditional rural life, to discover and apply ancient industries, and do not forget to walk in the most wonderful Cedar Forest.
Day 1:
• Visit to a historical/museum/cultural place.
• Visit to cultural/ artistic/ecotourism place: traditional Lebanese handcrafts are an important component of the cultural heritage. Get the chance to discover and learn about the ancient Lebanese industry.
• Lunch (traditional meals, made from natural ingredients from the region, in a warm homey atmosphere).
• Visit to a farmland and picking vegetables and fruits.
• Camping experience (get the chance for a moon walk, healthy dinner around the fire, without forgetting the view over the top of your morning cup of coffee).
Day 2:
• Grazing activity + breakfast (walk side by side
with the shepherds through the pastures, and learn firsthand about responsible, environmentally friendly grazing methods. Get the chance to taste goat milk, and witness an apercu of how to make Serdali labneh, a specialty of the region.
• Visit a local family, where having the chance to learn about customs, traditions, hospitality, drink mateh and taste homemade Lebanese sweets.
• Hiking at Shouf Biosphere Reserve
• Bee experience, you will receive an introduction to honeybees and beekeeping from one of our experienced beekeepers, after which you will be able to put on one of the beekeeping suits and get up close and personal with the bees! Do not forget the tasting!
